Most sauna hats suck. They're thin, made with synthetic fabrics that contain plastic, and have no personality.
This is a limited run of dense 6mm felted wool hats shaped for full-head coverage, with enough room to sit low over the eyes or make space for hair. The wool buffers the part of you closest to the hottest air in the room, so your body can keep warming after your head would usually tell you to leave.
No two are the same. All are made by hand. 100% organic New Zealand wool. The pattern is not printed. It comes from the way the wool is placed, worked, compressed, and finished by creator.
Wool, water, pressure, time. Then heat, steam, cold, repeat.

Why do you call it a skein?
A skein is wool in bundled form. It is also a formation in flight. Both meanings fit a numbered, finite release.
